CUSTODY

This specialized armored vehicle, developed in accordance with the requirements of the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and special units to participate in military, anti-terrorist and special operations.

CUSTODYhas a classic layout - the engine is in the front, the control is in the middle part, and the landing party is in the stern.

The body is welded, from Swedish ARMOX 560 steel armor plates, providing protection against 7.62 × 39 mm armor-piercing bullets. The bottom has a V-shaped shape, which is designed to increase anti-mine resistance and provide protection against a charge with a power of up to 6 kg in TNT equivalent. The carrying capacity is 2000 kg.

The bulletproof windshield is made of two glass blocks. There are 4 doors on the sides, where the first line is used for the driver and commander, and the second for access to the landing compartment. Each door is equipped with embrasures with dampers for conducting fire. And another 6 are located in the upper part of the sides of the landing section. In the stern, there is also a 5th door for the landing party, on which the spare parts mount is located. Thanks to the well-thought-out design of the armored hull, this vehicle can be equipped with a tower or combat module weighing up to 550 kg.

Aspower unita 6-cylinder turbodiesel with 380 hp is used, capable of producing up to 1250 Nm of torque paired with a 9-speed manual gearbox.

CUSTODY equipped with a central wheel inflation system and rubber with RunFlat bulletproof inserts from the German manufacturer Continental. Mine-resistant seats certified to the NATO AEP-55 standard are used as seats.

From additional equipment, armored car equipped flashing beacons, searchlight, radio station and winch with a 25-meter synthetic cable, capable of producing a traction force of up to 9000 kg.

In 2015-2016, he successfully passed the tests of the Ministry of Defense, National. guard and border service of Ukraine.

WARTA can be modified as:

• transport for the transportation of personnel;

• self-propelled mortar installation.

INNOVATOR

The innovator was introduced in 2017 and is a light armored vehicle developed on the basis of the Ford F550 - the most popular chassis for specialized vehicles of this class. In addition, the company "Ukrainian armored vehicles" modified it, namely, strengthened the "problem" places, replaced the spring suspension with a spring one, and installed another directional stability stabilizer.

The power unit is also from Ford. This is a 6.7-liter V-shaped turbodiesel with 330 hp. which works in tandem with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to this, the 8.8-ton armored car accelerates to the first hundred in 10.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 150 km/h.

The carrying capacity is up to 1845 kg, while it can carry up to 5 passengers. This vehicle is designed to overcome fords up to 75 cm and climbs up to 60%.

In addition, the Novator is equipped with a thermal imager and is able to move in complete darkness, as wellpowerful winchwith a traction force of up to 9000 kg. Also, in the basic configuration, it is equipped with a fire extinguishing system for the engine and landing compartment, an autonomous air conditioning system,navigation and rubber from Continental with Run-flat bulletproof inserts.

COSSACK 2

This is another representative of MRAP-class armored vehicles (Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected), which are designed to perform auxiliary tasks at the site of hostilities. KOZAK 2 was developed in 2014-2015 by the Praktika NPO enterprise. In 2015, it passed state tests and on June 27, 2016, it was adopted by the National Guard, and later by the State Border Service.

In modern warfare, where mobility and protection are important, these vehicles are of key importance. During their development, a lot of attention is paid to mine protection, which means that KOZAK 2 can be used in "asymmetric conflicts" ("guerrilla warfare"). And thanks to its close-to-civilian appearance, this armored vehicle can be used in police or peacekeeping operations. The case has class 5 protection (PSZA-5), realized with the help of "Miilux Oy" alloyed armored steel imported from Finland.

BuiltKOZAK 2 based on Iveco Eurocargo with turbocharged 5.9-liter diesel engine with 280 hp. and 950 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed ZF manual gearbox, an all-wheel drive system and a 2-speed transfer box. The total weight is 15 tons. It is designed for a crew of 3-10 people. The height of the maximum overcome ford is 1.4 m.

The transport has a system of smoke grenade launchers installed on the roof or combat module.

And for implementationfire protectiona fire extinguishing system for the engine compartment and the crew is provided, which is activated both in manual mode and automatically (when the temperature rises).

KOZAK 2M

KOZAK 2M is a continuation of the production line from Praktika NGO. This armored vehicle has a supporting body and independent suspension, which distinguishes it from other vehicles of the company. A 5.9-liter IVECO turbodiesel with 280 hp is used to move this 14-ton machine. and 950 Nm. Thanks to it, as well as the four-wheel drive system, KOZAK 2M is able to accelerate to 110 km/h. The ground clearance is 500 mm, and the vertical travel of the suspension is 260 mm.

A 12.7-mm NSV machine gun can be used as a weapon in a protected turret, which provides aimed fire at ground targets at a distance of up to 2 km. The crew of an armored car can consist of a driver, a commander, as well as 6 soldiers in an amphibious detachment.

KOZAK 2M successfully passed state tests in the period from October 2018 to December 2019, during which running and operational characteristics were checked, as well as shelling and detonation, and was adopted by the Armed Forces.

The factory provided 2 modifications, the main difference of which is a five-door layout in 2M1 and a three-door layout in 2M2.

COSSACK 5

The KOZAK 5 armored car is built on the basis of the Ford F-550 with reinforced suspension and modification of the all-wheel drive system. It has ballistic protection according to GOST 3975 PZSA-5, which means it can be used to transport a crew of up to 8 people and perform combat missions. The total weight is 10 tons.

The power plant is used from Ford, namely a 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine with a capacity of 440 hp. and 1254 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission from the same manufacturer. Due to this, the maximum speed of KOZAK 5 reaches 150 km/h. The ground clearance is 300 mm, and the maximum entrance angle is 60% and the side slope is 30%.

The armored vehicle can overcome fords up to 0.8 m deep. In addition, it provides:

• high-precision navigation device;
• automatic fire extinguishing system;
• remote control of the search light;
• door bolt locks;
• powerful electric winch;
• climate system.

If necessary, KOZAK 5 can be supplementedspecial signals or siren. Now it is actively used by the police, but it is not offered for the Armed Forces because it does not meet the requirements, unlike KOZAK 2 and 2M. Now the company is developing a new, 7th model, built on the same FORD base, but with a set of reinforcements according to NATO standardization to increase the carrying capacity and capabilities of the vehicle. KOZAK 7 should become a universal platform for the construction of light military equipment.

Leopard 8

"Bars 8" is a development of the company "Bohdan Motors" for the Ukrainian army. The first prototype was presented in 2015, and an improved modification at the exhibition "Weapons and Security-2015". It is intended for the transportation of personnel, cargo and equipment in the conditions of hostilities. It can also be used for tactical tasks, reconnaissance, patrolling or combat in urban conditions.

This armored car is built on the basis of a Dodge Ram pickup with reinforcements for working with a larger mass. It is able to provide protection according to the standard STANAG 4569 (level 2). Accommodates 2 crew and up to 8 infantrymen in the landing compartment. A 6.7 liter "Cummins" diesel engine producing 385 hp is used for movement. and 1173 Nm of torque. Paired with it, a choice of 6-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission is available.

The speed of "Bars" with a weight of 8 tons can reach 110 km/h. The maximum ford that can be overcome is 76 cm, ground clearance - 280 mm, elevation angle - 60%, side slopes - up to 40%. From the weapons, combat modules can be installed on the roof or inside the landing compartment, including a 120 mm mobile mortar complex (Modification "Bars-8MMK"). In 2019, Bars 8 successfully completed testing and was adopted by the Armed Forces.

KrAZ "Cougar"

KrAZ "Cougar" is another armored vehicle of the APC (Armored Personal Carrier) class and is suitable for conducting combat reconnaissance in urban conditions. It is a licensed copy of the Streit Group armored car produced at the AvtoKrAZ plant for the needs of the Armed Forces and the National Army. Guards of Ukraine.

The vehicle is based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 and can accommodate a driver, captain, navigator and up to 6 paratroopers. "Cougar" armor meets the CEN Level BR6 standard (protection against a 7.62 × 51 mm NATO cartridge from a distance of 10 m). The bottom can withstand the explosion of two DM51 grenades. Boarding/disembarking of the crew is carried out through the side doors, and disembarking through the aft doors.

A 6-cylinder in-line 4-liter turbodiesel can act as a power plant, producing 240 hp paired with a six-speed manual transmission. or gasoline 4-liter gasoline "1FZ-FE" with a 5-speed manual transmission for 218 hp.

From the weapons, it is possible to install combat modules on the roof and inside the landing compartment with 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine guns or a 40-mm automatic grenade launcher. In addition, turret weapons can be installed.

Armored car "Cougar" is equipped with air conditioning and floor heating systems. Installed and improvedfront lights, side searchlight, as well aspowerful car electric winch. The manufacturer also offers a list of optional equipment available to retrofit the vehicle from the factory.

KrAZ "Spartan"

KrAZ "Spartan" is a multifunctional armored vehicle belonging to the LAV (Light Armored Vehicle) class. It is a patrol and personnel carrier vehicle that is ideal for peacekeeping or police operations. The reservation class is declared CEN Level BR6. The Spartan will successfully protect the crew from 5.45 and 7.62 mm AK bullets or detonation up to 6 kg (in TNT equivalent). It can carry up to 12 people (3 + 9). For protection, a rotating turret with armored glass is provided, which can be equipped with 7.62-mm or 12.7-mm machine guns, or a 40-mm automatic grenade launcher. In addition, it is possible to install a combat module with ATGM.

The total weight is 8.8 tons, but the Spartan is capable of developing up to 110 km/h. This speed is achieved due to the 6.7-liter turbodiesel V8. from the Ford company, capable of producing 400 hp. and 1085 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with the possibility of manual control. The four-wheel drive has the option of switching off to save fuel.

KrAZ "Hulk"

The multi-purpose armored vehicle "Hulk" is equipped with a V-shaped bottom based on the KrAZ-5233VE and was first presented in 2016. It has a hoodless layout with a front location of the engine and controls. The crew consists of two people, and the cargo compartment can accommodate up to 10 infantrymen.

The armoring is made using welded armor plates and multi-layered bulletproof windows, and complies with the STANAG 4569 (level 2) standard. In the upper part, there are 8 embrasures (4 on each side) for firing small arms. In the stern there are doors for embarking and disembarking troops. HULK is equipped with two fuel tanks with a total volume of 330 liters, which provide a range of 1000 km (more than competitive solutions). A diesel engine with a capacity of 300 hp or more is installed. and a 9-speed manual transmission. The maximum speed is 80 km/h.

KrAZ "Shrek"

AvtoKrAZ also develops a wide range of vehicles for the military sector. One of the representatives of their line is the KrAZ Shrek - a multipurpose armored vehicle of the MPV (Mine Protected Vehicle) class. Its main purpose is to carry out the tasks of transporting goods, personnel or equipment.

Shrek is built on the basis of KrAZ 5233НЕ and has STANAG 4569 Level 2 protection. This vehicle is equipped with an all-wheel drive system and is capable of developing a maximum speed of 105 km/h with a curb weight of 17.5 tons. This is achieved thanks to a diesel turbo engine with a capacity of 300 to 400 hp. Can carry 2 + 10 passengers.

KrAZ "Fiona"

This is a modified version of Shrek, based on the KrAZ 6322. The Fiona multi-purpose armored vehicle belongs to the same MPV class and is designed for the operational transportation of cargo, equipment and personnel to the place of special operations. The wheel formula here is not 4x4, but already 6x6. The engine and level of protection are the same as in the model above.

KrAZ "Uragan"

KrAZ "Uragan" is a multi-purpose modular wheeled armored vehicle belonging to the MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) class. It was created at AvtoKrAZ together with the Canadian-Emirati company Streit Group. In 2015, it was presented for the first time at the arms exhibition "IDEX--2015" in the UAE. This development is not only on par with similar vehicles from other countries, but also surpasses most of them. "Hurricane" is better than the Russian KAMAZ "Typhoon" and is on par with the market leader in its class in terms of characteristics - the best today "Oshkosh" from the USA.

"Hurricane" is built on the basis of KrAZ-7634NE with an 8×8 wheel base, where vulnerable elements were strengthened to work with increased mass. The hull complies with the NATO level 4 STANAG 4569 standard, which means it can withstand shelling by 14.5 mm armor-piercing bullets at a distance of up to 200 m. The layout is hoodless, and the engine is located behind the cabin. The total weight is 24 tons, and the carrying capacity is 5000 kg.

The bottom has a V-shaped shape to reduce and redirect blast waves and corresponds to level 4a, 4b of STANAG 4569 (capable of withstanding a high-explosive detonation with a power equivalent to 10 kg of TNT charge).

For the landing compartment for 14 soldiers, hanging seats with damping of shock loads and embrasures in the windows are provided, as well as aft doors for conducting fire.

The Cummins ISME 385 turbodiesel with 380 hp is used as a power unit, which is paired with a 6-speed Allison 400 automatic transmission. The suspension in "Hurricane" is dependent, spring, which is good for military transport, as it is reliable and unpretentious. The company plans to make several modifications on the basis of this vehicle for the installation of weapons, namely the Uragan anti-aircraft missile system, air defense systems or missile systems.
