On hard off-road, it is the parts of the suspension that most often break. Especially, this applies to springs andshock absorbers. These devices work in tandem, thereby ensuring good smoothness of the ride and excellent controllability of the vehicle.

Spring- this is an important part of the suspension, the main function of which is to smooth shocks and shocks while driving on different roads. Many factors depend on its condition, including:
- lane keeping;
- the degree of negative impact on racks and tips;
- braking parameters of the SUV.
When to change the spring
Springs, like other elements of the car, are subject to wear and tear. Many manufacturers recommend checking this design after each trip (especially through difficult terrain) for any defects. It should be noted that the loss of spring properties is most often affected by the following properties:
- The condition of the metal as a result of gradual wear;
- Presence of surface damage due to friction;
- Excessive load on the car or overcoming bumps at high speed;
- Metal corrosion.

Springs in a bent state cannot counteract the force that occurred as a result of car braking to the required extent. Therefore, if you notice this negative phenomenon in your car, we recommend that you replace it immediately.
How to replace the spring with your own hands
How is the replacement of the spring in a professional car service and not only. The experts of our online store have prepared step-by-step instructions for you, following which you will be able to change the spring yourself, having, in fact, all the necessary equipment. So, let's get started:
1. Raise the car and fix it on stands.
2. Unscrew the wheel fastening bolts.
IMPORTANTLY!
To avoid injuries, hold the wheel when unscrewing.
3. Disconnect the fixing fasteners of the lower protection of the engine tray.
4. Remove the engine tray protection.
5. Clean the fastening of the shock absorber. Use a metal brush and a special spray (for example, WD-40).
6. With the help of an end head and a socket wrench No. 17, unscrew the attachment of the stabilizer rod to the steering knuckle.
7. Unscrew the fasteners of the bushings of the stabilizer of lateral stability and remove it.
IMPORTANTLY!
Make sure that the anti-roll bar is not hanging.
8. Clean the fasteners of the shock absorber rack and the ball bearing to the steering knuckle.
9. Unscrew the lower fastening of the suspension strut.
10. Loosen the fastening of the ball support from the rotary fist.
11. Pull out the fastening bolt.
12. Disconnect the lower lever from the steering knuckle and clean the rack mounts.
13. Unscrew the upper fastening of the suspension strut and disconnect its lower part.
14. Support the rotary fist using a hydraulic stand.
15. Pull the suspension lever down. Using the mounting lever, pull out the rack.
16. Install the shock absorber on the spring clamp device.
IMPORTANTLY!
When using a compression device, the coils of the spring must be securely gripped by compressing the structure from opposite sides. Make sure the spring is in the correct position in the holder. Make sure that the coils of the spring are tightly inserted into the clamping arms.
17. Remove the spring and clean the shock absorber rod.
18. Unscrew the nut of the rod of the suspension strut and remove the upper support of the strut.
19. Remove the old spring.
20. Install a new spring on the shock absorber. Download it.
21. Install the upper support and support bearing. Tighten the shock absorber rod nut.
IMPORTANTLY!
Make sure the spring is in the right position. Do not allow skew.
22. Squeeze the spring and remove the fully assembled rack from the screed device.
23. Clean and process the seats of the shock absorber rack. Install it in the car.

Springs are quite an important detailpendants, which will last a long time with proper and careful operation. They effectively soften the shocks of the car from the side of the road, withstand its weight and determine the height of the road clearance.
The most important rule regarding their replacement is to do it on time (as soon as various malfunctions have been detected). In addition, we recommend changing the springs together with the shock absorber so as not to reduce the functional features of the car.
