It is expected to be part of Toyota's global lineup electrification strategy, which includes expanding the hybrid lineup even among heavy-duty and full-size vehicles.

The presented novelty became the most productive version of the model at the moment — the power complex generates 457 hp. with a torque of 790 Nm. The heart of the car is a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with a twin turbocharger, supported by an electric motor. The transmission part is represented by a 10-band automatic transmission in combination with an all-wheel drive system. Such a power unit provides not only power, but also improved acceleration dynamics.

Although detailed technical specifications have yet to be announced, Toyota Australia representatives have confirmed that the hybrid version will demonstrate better traction compared to the diesel variant. However, there is a certain compromise - the fuel tank of the hybrid LC 300 has a volume of 68 liters, while the gasoline modification is equipped with an 80-liter tank. The reduction in volume is due to the need to place a hybrid battery, but, according to engineers, the total range will remain competitive.
External and internal differences
Externally, the novelty can be identified by a modernized front bumper with changed air ducts and an HEV emblem on the rear doors. Updated hybrid variants will also receive special designations of ecological modification and black accents on the center and side parts of the bumper. In addition, new body color options are available for certain configurations, which emphasize the status and modernity of the car.

Interior changes include updated digital dashboard graphics borrowed from other Toyota hybrid models. The interior will be decorated with wooden elements on the steering wheel and central console, plus new seat upholstery materials. The company currently does not specify the volume of the cargo compartment, but notes the appearance of an electrical outlet. Thanks to the built-in inverter, the novelty is aimed at active travelers who need convenient power for equipment in the field.

The traction battery is replenished through the recuperation system during deceleration — there is no external charging port typical of plug-in hybrids. This makes the new modification less dependent on the infrastructure of charging stations and preserves the classic concept of "charge and go".

Markets and prices
The model started with sales in the Middle East markets with the expected expansion of the sales geography. In the United Arab Emirates, the Land Cruiser Hybrid is already accepting orders — the basic version of the VXR is estimated at approximately $106,200, and the sports GR-Sport — from $111,600. Prices reflect not only new technologies, but also a premium level of equipment, aimed at demanding buyers.
It is also confirmed to enter the Australian market in the first half of 2026, with further planned expansion to other regions of the world. Analysts predict high interest in the hybrid model in North America, where demand for large SUVs is declining in favor of more efficient and environmentally friendly solutions.
Complete sets and special functions

Priority markets for the implementation of the modernized "300th" will be the Persian Gulf states, where it will be presented in two configurations - VXR and GR-S. Accumulator batteries for an electric-gasoline installation have a sealed case, which guarantees safe overcoming of water obstacles on the road. This is especially important in desert or humid climates, where extreme operating conditions often occur.
Additionally, the updated Land Cruiser 300 will receive an integrated 1500W (220V) AC inverter for connecting household appliances and travel equipment. This function turns the car not only into a means of transportation, but also into a full-fledged mobile power station, ready for any adventure.
