Volkswagen Tiguan- this is an important model for the German car manufacturer. For all these years, more than 7.6 million units of this model came off the assembly line. The main goal of the new generation is to improve the Tiguan while maintaining its appeal to consumers. However, competition in this segment has become tough, especially in the conditions of expanding sales of electric crossovers of the same class.

One of the main changes in the new Tiguan 3rd generation is related to the improvement of aerodynamic characteristics. The drag coefficient decreased from 0.33 to 0.28, which should increase its fuel economy. The design has also been updated, including light strips at the front and rear to match Volkswagen's modern style.

The main change affected the dashboard, which received an infotainment system with a huge15-inch anti-glare touch screenin tablet style. It has a new display and menu structure.
In addition, the digital instrument panel, known in Volkswagen as Digital Cockpit, has been improved, which has been supplemented with a projection that allows you not to be distracted from the road.

The trunk has become larger thanks to the increased length of the Tiguan, which is now 4.55 m. Its volume is 620 liters (or 490 liters for hybrid engines), which is a record for this class. The Tiguan continues to establish itself as a car that is well suited for family and outdoor activities.
A rich choice of engines for Tiguan 2024

The new Volkswagen Tiguan is built on a platformMQB evo, which offers different motors. The range includes gasoline engines TSI from 204 to 272 hp, diesel TDI from 150 to 193 hp, light hybrids eTSI from 130 to 150 hp. and eHybrid plug-in hybrids from 204 to 272 hp.
All these engines are like newVolkswagen Passat, are now equipped with a robotic DSG gearbox as standard. A new feature of this gearbox is that the selection of the mode (P, R, N, D) is carried out using a selector on the instrument panel, which allows to simplify the central console.
Volkswagen did not produce an electric version of the Tiguan, leaving it forID.4. However, the DCC controlled suspension, the Vehicle Dynamics Manager (MQB) system that appeared on the Golf 8 GTI, and the XDS electronic differential are installed on this platform at no extra charge.

The new generation Volkswagen Tiguan should appear in dealerships in Europe in the first quarter of 2024 at a price of around 40,000 euros.
And finally, an equally important feature of the Tiguan is the thin LED headlights. In general, the design of the new Volkswagen Tiguan remains very sophisticated. And that's a good thing, because it shouldn't shock enthusiasts.
