
Toyota surprised everyone by introducing last weeknew Tacoma 2024. The fourth-generation pickup truck looks like a smaller Tundra and is now equipped with a new engineToyota i-Force Max with turbocharging. There's even a hybrid drivetrain that delivers more performance with less carbon compared to thepast generations of Tacoma.

The two versions of the new Tacoma that really made an impression are theseTRD Pro and Trailhunter.Both pickups are equipped with all kinds of off-road equipment and additional features that are only available in these two variants.
Let's start with the TRD Pro. Toyota calls it a "desert conqueror" with a reinforced suspension. It is equipped with 2.5-inchFox shock absorberswith three levels of adjustment. Fox shock absorbers with internal floating pistons provide a smoother ride over the roughest roads. To give the front tires more maneuverability in difficult conditions, the front anti-roll bar can be switched off from a button in the cabin.

The TRD Pro comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. The wheels are shod in33-inch tiresGoodyear Territory R/T. Compared to the regular Tacoma, it also received an additional lift. The TRD Pro is 2 inches taller in the front and 1.5 inches in the rear.
The TRD Pro offers the same interior features as other Tacoma models, including a 14-inch infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and heated and ventilated front seats. If you want to add extra hardware to the TRD Pro, auxiliary toggle switches for controlwinchand other tuning will be at your fingertips.

One of the most striking features of the TRD Pro isIsoDynamic Performance seats. They are designed to provide a smooth and confident ride andequipped with an air-oil damping system, which helps absorb body movements and stabilizes the driver (similar to those installed in trucks and other commercial vehicles for long-distance travel). To fine-tune the damping of this patented feature, users can adjust the damping seats using the adjuster on the back of the seat.

Tacoma Trailhunter- is a version of the SUV, developed together withARB. It comes with a 5- or 6-inch body andequipped with extra strong arch expanders, 18-inch bronze alloy wheels in 33-inch Goodyear Territory R/T tires with steel bumpers and integratedair compressorfor inflating and deflating tires in off-road conditions.

Besides,ARBinstalled racks on the roof, on which they can be locatedmotor tentsand boxes for storing additional equipment. Other key exterior features includesnorkel, radiator grill with Toyota logo and built-in additional LED optics.
Underneath, the Trailhunter is equippedspecialpendant designed by Old Man Emu, featuring position-sensitive 2.5-inch forged monotube shocks with external rear reservoirs and forged aluminum upper control arms. Tacoma Trailhunter2 inches taller in the front and 1.5 inches taller in the rear(like the TRD Pro) for a standard Toyota Tacoma.

Inside, you also get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system,heating and ventilation of the front seats, as well asprojection screen on the windshield. Unlike its sibling, the Trailhunter interior is more restrained, with leather or SofTex upholstery with contrasting stitching.

2.4 literturbocharged and electrified power uniti-Force Maxused in both TRD Pro and Trailhunter. The engine develops331 hp and 630 Nm of torquetogether with an electric motor and a 1.87 kWh battery. For additional traction on any terrain, power is sent to an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system with a differential lock.
Although the New Toyota Tacoma is in Ukrainenot planned for sale officially, gray market dealers are expected to start offering the new mid-size pickup from Toyota Motors soon.
