The seventh stage of the World Rally Championship - Rally Acropolis 2025, which became the turning point of the season, ended in Greece. First place went to 2019 WRC World Champion Ott Tjanak from Estonia in a Hyundai i20 N Rally1. He took the Hyundai Motorsport team's first win of the year, ending a losing streak and strengthening their position in the title race.
Is Hyundai's Ott Tjanak a top title contender?

Second place went to Britain's Elphin Evans, representing Toyota Gazoo Racing driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. He hasn't shown the pace of a winner, but his tactic of consistent finishes without major mistakes is paying off. He held the lead in the championship at the equator of the season, although he himself admits that he will have to accelerate to defend the title. In the high-speed stages of Estonia and Finland, the situation with clearing the road will become less critical, but the rivals are already holding their breath.

Ott Tjanak is in excellent form and is just 12 points behind Evans, despite gearbox problems at the end of the Greek rally. If the updated Hyundai i20 N Rally1 proves itself on high-speed gravel tracks, the Estonian could become the favorite for the championship.
Toyota's co-pilot, Finnish rallyist Kalle Rovanpera, showed a slump after successful performances in Portugal and Sardinia. In turn, the Belgian Thierry Neuville from the Hyundai team again lost points compared to Evans, although he finished ahead of the Finn. For Thierry, the deficit of 54 points is already critical — there is little time left to correct the situation.
Grégoire Münster from Ford confidently made his way into the top 6, competently controlling the pace and taking advantage of the mistakes of his rivals. But a sudden breakdown of the fuel system of his Ford Puma Rally1 deprived the driver of a well-deserved result.

His teammate, Frenchman Adrien Formeau, damaged his suspension after a successful start, but instead of taking the usual risk, he slowed down and led the race to the podium. This was a confirmation of his progress and work on psychological stability.
In the junior category, the absolute advantage was again demonstrated by the Swede Oliver Solberg, leading from the first to the last special section and winning the third victory of the season. The stability and speed of the son of world champion Petter Solberg are already causing talk about his readiness to move to the Rally1 class.
