The Suzuki Jimny Long has been approved as a new model for development in India, according to local publication Autocar.
The long-awaited contract for the five-door Jimny Long model was signed. This is what the Indian division of the automaker reports, as it is considered one of the most important markets for Suzuki.
Also, according to the data, it is known that there will be some changes in the functionality and design of the car. Suzuki will be equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and may add a mild hybrid technology engine.

The news comes days after a Japanese report suggested the new Jimny Long would be unveiled in late 2022, ahead of a launch in the first half of 2023.
It should also be expected that, structurally, the Jimny Long will become a little longer than the standard model, perhaps by 300 mm, which makes a total of 3850 mm. They also plan to increase the wheelbase of an all-wheel drive car to 2,550 mm.
The improvement does not end there, so the Suzuki Jimny Long 2023 will have a horizontal front grill, which visually quickly distinguishes the car from the three-door Suzuki model.
Rumors were announced from the Japanese publication MOTA about the new Jimny power plant, which will be turbocharged and the additional installation of a mild hybrid for European markets, as the hybrid will reduce emissions.
