Electric pickup from BMW: dream or reality?
As electric vehicles become mainstream, some European brands may enter the electric pickup market.
Recently, BMW announced that it is considering the possibility of creating a commercial vehicle on battery batteries. The Bavarians plan to enter several new segments, including electric pickups.

Mercedes tried to make this adventure with its ownX-Class pickup truckin 2017. However, probably due to the fact that it appeared too early, the model did not live up to expectations. The concept of an electric pickup based on the X7 has already been presented by BMW. A way to compete with fans and buyers regarding the likely appearance of a dump truck.
What could an electric pickup from BMW look like?

The current one became the main source of inspiration for artificial intelligenceBMW X7, with the addition of a pickup truck body behind. It must be said that the overall result turned out to be quite successful, and the silhouette was complete.
From a technical point of view, the BMW Electric Pickup may have a similar design to the X7 or BMW IX. The iX M60 with its 619 hp would be used as the engine/battery. and more than 1000 Nm of torque.
As for autonomy?
The model can be equipped with a huge battery with a total capacity111.5 kWh. According to the WLTP cycle, it will provide itrange of more than 560 km.
The appearance of an electric pickup in the BMW model line is still only a guess. But the German manufacturer may release it in the coming years, at least for the market on the other side of the Atlantic.
