Depending on the country, the Mitsubishi L200 has different names in different marketsStradaorTritonas in Ukraine. In addition, the pickup from the Japanese is a sibling of the Fiat Fullback or Dodge Ram 1200, and with the release of the sixth generation, it can share the characteristics and platform with another pickup.
There was information that the Mk6 model will be combined with the Navara pickup, which will significantly reduce the cost of development and help the allianceRenault-Nissan-Mitsubishito increase the efficiency of production due to the introduction of their pickups in all major car markets of the world. We remind you that the Navara of the current generation also shares the platform and technologies with Renault Alaskan and Mercedes X-Class, so such a decision is not something special and will be seen more often in the future. By the way, competitors from Ford and Volkswagen have already presented their new generation pickups -RangerandAmarok 2023, dividing the cost of development and production capacity.

Even if the L200 and Navara 2023 will share a common platform, the design and options list will be significantly different, as in the new VW Amarok and Ford Ranger. The L200 was first spotted as a test prototype earlier this year, and a production prototype was photographed last month.

They have now appeared in the networkrenders without camouflage, which allow you to notice the wider wheelbase of new design features from the Japanese brand. But, it is worth noting that you shouldn't expect something radically new from the sixth generation L200, because in 2018 (in the middle of the cycle of the current generation), the pickup truck was already greatly changed visually.

According to insider information, the new L200 model should be presented in 2022, but due to the pandemic, the crisis of electrical components and the breakdown of logistics chains, the presentation of the pickup truck was postponed tothe beginning of 2023.
