The Volkswagen company has officially confirmed rumors about the restyling of its pickup truckAmarokand showed photos of the car. Someone could have thought that it was about a still "fresh" model that entered the assembly line in 2022. But, unexpectedly, the update will affect the original Amarok.
The fact is that "starigan" is still produced in Argentina. It seems that the management of Volkswagen has decided that it is irrational to establish the production of the second generation there, and instead will continue the production of the already mastered model, subjecting it to deep modernization.
The new 2024 VW Amarok is destined for the South American market and will be sold there instead of the global version of the pickup truck. Company representatives call it Amarok 3, although in fact it is a restyling of the first model.
Judging by the photo, the car received a more modern design of the front part. The refaced front more corresponds to the current style of the Volkswagen brand and is better combined with the latest models of the concern. At the same time, the side part of the car has not undergone serious changes and retains the familiar silhouette of the original model.
The interior and rear part of the new product remains a secret for now. As well as its technical part. But probably the car will receive a new multimedia system and will be offered in configurations with all-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive. And as a power plant, buyers will be offered turbocharged V6 diesels with a volume of 3.0 and an inline four with a volume of 2.0.
