The fifth generation of heavy-duty Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, which has been on the market since 2019, has undergone restyling. The changes affected both the appearance of the car and its technical part. It has been officially announced that the cars of the 2025 model year will arrive at dealers in the USA in the first quarter of the year.
New design
At the front, the Ram 2500 received a new set of front grills for various configurations, as well as changed headlights, taillights and wheels. All grille options now have a more complex and brutal shape. The redesign of the Rebel version looks especially unusual.
According to the latest trends in car design, the front optics have become narrower. And now it is clearly divided horizontally into upper and lower sections. At the back, the changes are not so significant. In general, the exterior of Ram began to look more modern, although the new appearance caused mixed reactions among motorists. Especially the design of the grilles.
Ram 2500 2025 interior
The interior of the pickup caused much less controversy. The main change is the appearance of a more modern multimedia system with a touch screen on the central console. Depending on the configuration, a 14.5-, 12- or 8-inch touchscreen can be installed there.
In the restyling, an option appeared in the form of a horizontal 10.25-inch display for the front passenger.
The Ram 2500 2025 also received a new gear shifter on the steering column, wireless charging for two smartphones, and a 2.4 kW inverter.
Technical changes in Ram 2500/3500 restyling
The model received an improved diesel engine and a new transmission. Under the hood, a 6.7-liter Cummins is now installed, which develops a power of 430 hp. and a torque of 1456 Nm. For its part, the previous 6-speed "automatic" from ZF gave way to its more advanced 8-speed sibling.
As a result, the dynamic performance of the Ram 2500 increased significantly. Acceleration from standstill to 100 km/h is 6.9 seconds, which is 1.1 seconds faster than the pre-styling version. And thanks to the modification of the gear ratios on the rear axle, the updated pickup truck can tow up to 16 tons.
The engineers did not forget about safety. For the first time, the Rem 2025 features a driver fatigue detection system, automatic traffic sign recognition, and lane keeping assistant.
According to official information from the Stellantis concern, the minimum price for the updated Ram 2500 in the United States will be 47.6 thousand dollars, and for the Ram 3500 - 48.6 thousand dollars.
