The new BYD Shark 6 hybrid pickup received a tuning kit from the companyIronman 4x4. Accessories are developed in cooperation with the car manufacturer and can be installed when buying a car from the showroom. They are covered by BYD's warranty for 6 years or 150,000 km.
Shark is the first pickup of the Chinese company BYD. The design is based on a frame chassis. The car belongs to the so-called plug-in hybrids and is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a capacity of 228 hp, as well as two electric motors developing 429 hp. All this gives the pickup all-wheel drive, acceleration to hundreds in 5.7 seconds. and fuel consumption of 7.5 l/100 km.
The modification kit from Ironman includes various power bumpers with kangaroo guards, additional roof racks, kungs and roller blinds on the body.
Bumper
Power bumpers for BYD are made of 4 mm thick aluminum with a matte powder coating. Ironman offers a choice of a Raid model with a low tube and LED beam and a Deluxe model with a tall kangaroo.
The bumpers are equipped with additional lights. And also a pair of towing eyes that can withstand up to 5 tons of traction force.
Trunk
On the roof, Ironman installs a rack made of extruded aluminum, covered with matte powder paint. It has a modular design and offers a wide range of options for attaching loads, additional equipment and lighting.
Blinds
The buyer can equip his BYD Shark with a mechanical or electric roller from Ironman. Both configurations feature interior cargo compartment lighting and a drainage system. The lamellas of the roller blind are tightly connected to each other to prevent mechanical breakage. Such a cover can withstand up to 100 kg of load and is compatible with additional railings and crossbars.
Kunga
Ironman designed a kung for the Chinese pickup with side-opening doors with gas shocks. Modifications with glass windows and without glass inserts are available. There are integrated railings on the roof.
In addition to the above, the buyer can order 18-inch wheels and Toyo and BFGoodrich off-road tires. The new pickup truck from BYD is scheduled to enter the market in December 2024. First of all, the model is focused on Mexico, Australia and New Zealand.
