Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, Ukrainians have been helping the state and the army fight back the enemy every day by working in volunteer and public organizations aimed at the needs of the country. People purchase and transport humanitarian goods and necessary equipment to the places where they are most needed. One of these directions, where there is an acute problem with transport, is the front and near-front zone.Military personnel need a reliable, practical and passable vehicle for maneuvering and transporting personnel.

Ukrainians and residents from all over the world who collect money and buy the necessary cars abroad help in solving this need. Currently, there are many funds that have fixed and simplified all processes as much as possible - from fundraising to delivery of already prepared cars to the front. But apart from them, there is a fairly significant number of people who want to purchase cars themselves and transfer them to the places where they are needed.But where to start? How does the process of purchasing, customs clearance and preparation of such cars take place? And how to simplify this chain of processes?We will share the answers to these questions with you further.
Where to start?
First of all, you need to know that today there are two main options for the delivery of cars for the needs of the front:
- Registration and registration in accordance with the law on zero customs clearance (ordinary purchase and gift of a car for a familiar serviceman);
- Transfer as humanitarian aid (for further transfer to a military unit, administration or volunteer organization).
The first optionis the completion of the complete process of deregistration and re-registration of the car to a Ukrainian with a subsequent decision on registration in Ukraine. Thus, you get your entire car with all the pluses and minuses, including fines for violations that will go to your name even when the car is used in "hot spots".
The process of acquisition and registration has been known to our citizens for quite some time and is actively practiced to this day (as evidenced by the long queues for customs clearance of cars from the EU countries). Without going into details, the typical process of purchasing under this option can be described by the following chain of events:
Payment of the cost of the car-> conclusion of the sales contract -> deregistration -> decision on temporary registration -> insurance registration -> customs clearance -> border crossing -> registration of the customs declaration -> creation of inspection report -> customs clearance -> registration of the certificate -> registration of the car ->obtaining Ukrainian license plates.
Today, this complex and long process of purchasing a car requires significant costs, both in time and in finances. But there is a simpler alternative.
The second optionis the registration of a car as humanitarian aid, that is, not as a vehicle, but rather as an object. This new, simplified procedure helps to save a lot of time and money that could be spent on getting the vehicle in order or buying another one.

In this case, too, there are two options for registration, according to which most foundations and public organizations work. Their main difference is in the car registration chain:
- foreign fund -> Ukrainian fund -> place of need;
- representative of the Ukrainian fund -> Ukrainian fund -> place of need.
The first option can be used by organizations that have contacts and cooperation with foreign funds that will purchase a car for their account with the appropriate registration. When buying a car, they get the followingdocuments:
- Technical passport.
- Purchase and sale agreement in the name of the fund.
- Certificate of deregistration of the car.
- Certificate of export to Ukraine.
After what, a Ukrainian public organization or foundation receives the right to use such a vehicle (truck) from a foreign institution, and can transfer it to the desired location. At the same time, since the car appears as an object, it does not require customs clearance and is transported across borders according to a simplified procedure through the "green corridor".
How to personally buy a car to help Ukraine?

If you do not have the opportunity to cooperate with a foreign fund, but you want to purchase a car and transfer it to a place where it is urgently needed without going through customs clearance, then the process will look like this.
First, you need to contact one of the military units, administrations or public organizations where you intend to transfer the car. They will tell you which cars there is a need for and which models to pay attention to. As a rule,now there is a great demand for four-wheel drive pickups with a four-seater interior and compact SUVs. Next, you need to find one of these cars and purchase it.
The car you have chosen must be brought to the nearest organization dealing with re-registration. A sales contract is drawn up on it and temporary registration numbers are issued. With such license plates, the car is perfectly suitable for movement on the territory of the EU and can be transported to the territory of Ukraine. However, if you intend to travel on it at your own pace on the territory of the EU, you should take out insurance in order not to receive a fine.
Then, having purchased a car, you need to send data about it to the institution where you plan to transfer it (for example, a military unit). She will make a corresponding request, where she must indicate the make, model and year of the vehicle, serial number, type of fuel, and details of the owner who will cross the border.
When passing through customs, such a car has the right to pass in the green corridor as a humanitarian aid for Ukraine (without waiting in line with cars imported under the law on zero customs clearance).

Before entering the territory of the checkpoint, the driver must prepare the necessary documents for the car. They include:
- Purchase and sale agreement.
- Technical passport.
- Request from a military unit.
Cars drive in a green corridor, because "humanitarian" cars do not need traditional customs clearance. The main document is a request from a military unit or a declaration (if you purchased a car for a public organization).
After successfully crossing the border, such humanitarian aid is trained according to the tasks for which this vehicle is designed and sent to locations where it is needed.
How to buy a car from Britain for the needs of Ukraine?

When considering such cars, you need to understand that these TK datanot unsuitable for further customs clearance(right-hand drive cars will not pass Ukrainian certification) and are boughtonly for work at the front.
If you have found and want to buy a car from Britain that you plan to transfer for the needs of the Armed Forces, you should follow a few simple steps. Ihor Dremblyuga, a representative of the public organization, shared with us the details regarding the purchase and transportation of such vehicles.Molfar", the main purpose of which is to help victims of military operations, reform the organization of providing medical care to soldiers of Ukraine and military volunteerism. President of the NGO "Molfar" -Julia Watcher, has been helping Ukrainians to defend Ukraine since 2013.
The first thing you need to know when buying a British car for the needs of the Armed Forces- it is not necessary to remove it from the register, but it is enough to re-registrate it as a volunteer (citizen of Ukraine). After that, you will receive a new technical passport and a corresponding document on re-registration (Registration Certificate).
Delivery is in progressby transporting the vehicle by truck to the ferry, with subsequent transportation to the territory of France. From mainland Europe, this humanitarian cargo is (as a rule) loaded onto another truck and transported as close as possible to the Ukrainian border. After unloading, the car must drive into the territory of customs control and pass through it through the green corridor (or together with those trucks that simply cross the border) and do not need to wait in line together with those who import cars for the purpose of further customs clearance and use on the territory of Ukraine.

To successfully cross the border, the driver must present a request from the military unit(or a declaration, if the car is transferred to a public organization), which must be obtained in advance at the relevant institution. It must contain data about the vehicle (VIN code, make, model, fuel type, engine capacity) and driver (name, series and passport number, date of birth) and be approved by appropriate seals. This document will allow you to cross the border without hindrance and deliver the car to the preparation point.
How to prepare a car for the front line?

First of all, the purchased car must be carefully inspected and serviced.Need to check:
- chassis;
- engine;
- gearbox;
- all-wheel drive system;
- braking system;
- work under load;
- change oil, filters and other necessary spare parts.
In addition, if the tires have a worn or "road" tread, you need to replace them with more grippy off-road rubber (AT). And after checking the technical condition, the vehicles are painted in green or camouflage and handed over to the military.
Installation of tuning and maintenance

And if necessary, it can be delivered to the car:
Pick up spare parts for your car
After passing through these manipulations, the cars are sent to military units or public organizations on the front line, where they are used for their intended purpose, saving the lives of our citizens and defenders every day.
