The legendary car brand is slowly expanding its line of cars and complementing them with crossovers (the first was the Stelvio model in 2016). The second representative of the SUV was Tonale – the name was taken from a mountain pass in the Italian Alps. Compact crossoverbuilt on the basis of FIAT Small-Wide 4×4 architecture, on which the actual one is madeJeep Renegade(since 2014). The dimensions of the body (length – 4530; width – 1840; height – 1600 mm), the volume of the luggage compartment (500 liters) and the 5-door layout hint at competition with the popular Audi Q3 in Europe.
The representatives of the brand claim that Tonale's control will be clear, but pleasant and will bring more pleasure from driving the car than that of competitors.
As for power units - the crossover includes5 engine variations, which will include both classic gasoline or diesel solutions and plug-in hybrids. But regardless of the selected power unit,will be present in the interior a large 12.3-inch instrument panel screen and a 10.25-inch multimedia system screen, with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and over-the-air updates. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and automatic emergency braking, as well as pedestrian detection, lane keeping, and blind spot monitoring.
At the moment it is known that it is for saleon the European marketthe crossover will be released soonin the summer of 2022, and it will arrive in the USA in early 2023. Prices will start from 30,000 euros.
