The shock absorber is designed for the front axle of Dodge Ram vehicles. It has a single tube design and a patented valve system that provides instant response. The damper performs equally well on off-road and on-road, and guarantees a comfortable, controlled and stable ride.

Excess heat is quickly dissipated due to the high gas pressure. Bilstein 's split piston allows the working fluid to expand as it heats up without losing viscosity or foaming.

A zinc coating is provided to protect against corrosion. Noise and vibrations are dampened by the use of neoprene rubber bushings.

The height of the shock absorber on the Dodge Ram 1500 is 548 mm in the normal state and 380 mm at maximum load. The lift is in the range of 0 to 70 mm.
