The EFS shock absorber has a twin-tube design and is designed to be installed on the rear axle of the Land Rover Defender. The walls are made of 5 mm thick metal, which gives the design increased strength and durability. The increased volume of oil contributes to more efficient heat dissipation, even at high suspension loads. Nitrogen injected under pressure reduces the likelihood of oil foaming.
The extended design allows the shock absorber to be used on vehicles with a lift. The two-tube design and 35 mm diameter piston contribute to improved control. The rod has a chrome plated finish, which increases resistance to constant contact with aggressive environments. Mounting bushings ensure complete tightness of the connection.
