Renault presented a hybrid pickup niagara

During a presentation in Brazil, Renault showed the world a new concept car called Niagara. He turned out to be a compact pickup-hybrid with bold design and full drive.

According to the company representative, the concept embodies the style and ideas that will underpin the new Renault car line for the international market.

There is no traditional rhombic brand emblem on the front grid. Her place is occupied by a large renault inscription in pixel art style. And the narrow diode headlights give the car aggressive look.

NIAGARA has a high hood, wide wings and a short rear hang, whereby the car looks collected and sports. The pickup profile is squat and steep. The image complements the trunk on the roof with a full -size "stock".

The pickup has a double cabin. However, the salon was not shown in the West. The length of the vehicle is 4.9 m and the wheelbase reaches 2.95 m. The body is bearing.

The concept is built on a new modular platform CMF-B from Renault. It is characterized by high tuning flexibility and allows the manufacturer to easily change the length, body type and transmission of the car. The company plans to use it as a basis for many of its new models.

Renault niagara technical characteristics

The technical characteristics of the future pickup are not yet revealed. It is known that it has an internal combustion engine in the front and an electric motor on the rear axle. Normal Niagara mode will only move on the front drive using DVZ.

If necessary, the driver will be able to activate the motor by making the pickup all -wheel drive. Or disconnect the ICE by turning the niagara into a rear -wheel drive electric car.

The future of the model

Demonstration of the pre -spacing Renault Niagara is scheduled for the first half of 2024. It will probably have a little more restrained design and color. But the main raisins of the concept promise to keep.

Based on pickup, the company will create a whole family of eight new models designed to be sales outside Europe. They have a fully debut on the market by 2027.
