After all, when driving on cobblestones, over pits and bumps, the "shimmy" effect occurs when arbitrary horizontal movements of the wheels and suspension affect the car's handling. The most dangerous situation can be when the car starts to turn while driving.

To prevent such situations, the Australian company EFS has developed a gas-oil steering damper that reduces steering vibration in harsh off-road conditions thanks to:

• A DMC valve that controls piston movement;
• low-pressure nitrogen that prevents oil cavitation (boiling);
• double-walled piston design with a diameter of 32 mm;
• hardened chrome plating;
• special anti-dust cover.
