The charger is designed for the needs of automotive workshops that service and repair vehicles with 12-volt batteries. The device provides fast charging and maintains the condition of the car battery during storage.

CTEK devices are compact in size and allow for customization of the current output. They are compatible with a wide range of battery types, including lithium batteries. The patented adaptive charging technology allows the device to diagnose the state of the battery in a continuous mode, charging it to the maximum in a short period of time.

The device provides 8 charging modes (stages):

1. Desulfation. It involves testing the battery to detect sulfates and removing them if detected. Pulsating voltage and current are used.
2. Soft start. Checks the battery's ability to accumulate charge. If the battery is defective, charging is stopped. Further use of the battery is not advisable.
3. Charging. The maximum current is supplied to the battery. The capacity is filled to 80%.
4. Absorption. A gradual decrease in current until the battery is 100% charged.
5. Analysis. Tests the battery for charge retention.
6. Recovery. An increased voltage is applied to the battery. The electrolyte boils and stirs. The procedure helps to restore battery capacity.
7. Buffer mode. The battery is constantly charged, which prevents deep discharge.
8. Pulse mode. The charge level is maintained at 95%. The charger monitors the voltage level and supplies current to the battery as needed.
