The tool is capable of performing the functions of a hammer and an ax. It is ideal for logging and construction work. The balanced design reduces the load and makes each blow as efficient as possible. The working part of this Fiskars ax is made of high carbon steel. To protect it from corrosion, it is coated with an anti-friction compound. The cutting side is sharpened at an angle of 30 degrees.

The handle is traditionally made of polyamide. Fiberglass reinforcement is used to increase the strength of the structure. The working part is connected to the handle by means of high-pressure pressing.
