Valentin Knott the younger took over the administration in 1978 and began the creation of international subsidiaries through demand in the world market. And by 1995, new production facilities in Italy, England, the United States, Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania were opened. The name was then changed to KNOT GmbH.

Subsequently, new factories were still built in existing places, such as Regenstauf in 1995, in Poland, Slovakia and Romania. Further grounds and absorption were in Russia, Austria, Ukraine, Serbia, Finland and China. As a result, Knott Holding was founded as a parent company in 2002.

Knott GmbH has a certified quality management system according to ISO 9001 since 1997. In 2005, all subsidiaries were certified.
